Steve Donai is a seasoned business development executive with a career spanning over two decades, marked by a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of clients his organizations serve. His journey in the behavioral health industry began almost a decade ago when he decided to channel his extensive sales and leadership experience towards a more meaningful purpose.

Motivated by a vision to address patient acquisition challenges faced by programs across the country, Steve founded Growth Sherpa Consulting. Through this venture, he aims to leverage his wealth of experience and relationships to improve patient acquisition practices thus empowering behavioral health programs to excel in what they do best – treating patients. With Growth Sherpa, Steve continues to be a driving force in reshaping the landscape of behavioral health, ensuring that programs can thrive and focus on their core mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Prior to Growth Sherpa Steve has had the privilege of overseeing 14,000+ admissions, over $250 million in revenue, and the coaching and development of dozens of other business development leaders throughout the industry. Before working in behavioral health, Steve had worked in such industries as medical device and integrative health. He also possesses a Masters Degree in Management and Leadership from Monreat College and a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from UNC-Greensboro.

Outside of work, Steve can be found spending time with his family, playing golf, and doing a seemingly never ending list of projects around the house.
