Bio
Kirk Manz has over thirty-five years of executive management and entrepreneurial experience in the behavioral healthcare, financial services, and communications industries.
Kirk's foray into the behavioral healthcare sector began in 2007, when he served as a strategic advisor and investment banker to Foundations Recovery Network, a pioneering residential and outpatient addiction treatment platform.

Kirk entered the behavioral healthcare industry full-time as an operator in 2010, when he became one of the three original executives of American Addiction Centers. As CFO of AAC, Kirk was the financial architect of the company's growth: from $10 million in revenue in 2010, to a highly successful IPO in 2014, to $350 million in proforma revenue in 2017 with 29 residential and outpatient facilities across nine states.

After leaving AAC, Kirk became a frequent transaction advisor to private equity sponsors evaluating investments in the behavioral sector. Kirk served as an advisor and board member of Civiq Health, a residential and outpatient addiction treatment company in Pennsylvania that sold to Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare in 2021. Kirk also served as an investor and board member of Mission Autism Clinics, a provider of clinic-based autism services in the Mid-Atlantic region.

In 2021, Kirk partnered with Assured Healthcare Partners to acquire an outpatient mental health provider in the Nashville market. As CEO of Athena Care, Kirk has helped grow the company to a statewide presence, with seven clinics and approximately 50 mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and therapists. Athena Care is an in-network provider of comprehensive testing services, medication management, talk therapy, interventional psychiatry, in-home ABA therapy, and intensive outpatient programming services.
Kirk lives in Nashville with his wife Missy and their black cat Frank. He has three children and is an avid musician, photographer, and traveler.
