Andrew McWilliams is a skilled and passionate senior healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience with a wide variety of healthcare organizations including for-profit and not-for-profit entities and ranging from complex Fortune 100 companies to stand-alone community hospitals and over 10 years of dedicated behavioral health experience in multi-state and multi-site operations.

Andrew currently serves on the Board of Directors for two behavioral health care companies and provides senior advisory services to both behavioral healthcare providers and private equity firms.

Andrew’s prior experience includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Board member for the one of the largest substance abuse providers in the U.S. As the Chief Executive Officer, Andrew led the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully executed financial restructuring and improved earnings by more than 200%. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer, Andrew served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer and successfully guided the organization through an initial public offering (IPO), completed over 15 acquisitions and de novo projects and increased top-line revenue by over 130% and raised over $350 million in new capital through debt and equity offerings. Andrew also previously served on the Board of Trustees for the National Association of Behavioral Health and on the Addiction Treatment Committee

Prior to joining American Addiction Centers in 2014, Mr. McWilliams worked with Ernst & Young LLP, a national public accounting firm. During his tenure with Ernst & Young, Mr. McWilliams served multiple healthcare clients and advised his clients on a variety of corporate transactions, including public equity and debt offerings of securities, mergers and acquisitions, and divestitures.
